This was a killer tonight.. I would like to know how many we missed tonight..Its game 6 of the finals, make your layups, no excuse

It also really bothered me that Shelden and Rondo both missed layups while trying to throw it down when your down by 20. Its only 2 points no matter how it goes in.

Agreed.

After the 90th or so missed layup is when I became convinced of the Celtics involvement in making sure that this series went 7 games.

There is nothing that frustrates me more. Except missed dunks. Its just ridiculous.

I heard someone say it was 18 missed layups.  Not sure if that is accurate or just an estimate.  Seemed like a lot more than that to me.

We missed a couple of dunks too.

Celts have been missing layups this entire playoffs, but especially this series and especially the last three games.

the Celtics are the Intimidators, not the intimidated.

i still say we have more warriors on our side - i still say we are mentally tougher - i still say the lakers are soft.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Mentally tougher? Lakers soft? Did you watch the same game as everyone else?

Missed layups are actually a good thing, because it shows that the Celtics are getting great looks.  In game #4 the Celtics were missing tons of layups in the 1st half and were down, but I knew they would come back (and posted as such) because they were getting great shots and the Lakers weren't (but were hitting their toughies).  In this game, both teams were getting great shots but the Lakers were hitting more of theirs, especially in the first half.  That is very unusual that the Celtics would miss so many chippies throughout the entire game and I consider it an anomaly.. it won't happen in game #7.  What they do have to do, though, is tighten up the defense so that the Lakers don't get the same looks they had tonight.  This is what they did in games #4 and #5.
