To Lakers fans, I can't take this anymore! I just can't!!!

I'm sure the Lakers have their fair share of bandwagoners. But I'm pretty sure a lot of people hopped on our bus when they heard that Ray and KG were coming here almost three years ago. It goes with the territory.

No doubt.  I'm not saying that all Laker fans are morons... just most of them.  They simply have more bandwagoners than any other team, and that's by a huge margin.  I wouldn't be shocked if 50% of the fans of the NBA were Laker bandwagoners.  And when you couple that with the fact that they are in the Finals LITERALLY every other year.. well, that's where the conspiracy starts to gain some momentum.

I'm beginning to see that the Celtics have a lot of fans, too, but probably nothing compared to LA, Cleveland, Denver, Miami or Orlando. Stern's marketing strategy (hype up the superstars at any cost) is a success. Which is also why we are one of the most hated teams in the league: We don't have one single player that carries the load every single game, but rather a bunch of players who can do it on any given night. I did my best during my 10 year stint in Sweden to spread the Celtics, Soxs and Pats love! Missed out on all the championship runs and had to endure Tyree's catch alone in the dark at like 4 in the morning. Not awesome.

The only other yank I met and got along with well during my tenor there happened to be from Manhattan Beach and is a huge Lakers fan. I get the real scoop from him in regards to the team along with the occasional story that borderlines on conspiracy theory. He has been convinced this goes 7 on account of Stern/revenue and the underworld of sports betting from about half way through Phoenix and Orlando. Claims the Lakers have been shaving points for years. As well as informing me that the Lakers are overall a trashy organization from top to bottom. Buss apparently has a taste for little boys and 16 year old girls according to a local Manhattan Beacher that delivers weed and has spent time around the fellow. This is why Jerry West migrated and is no longer there. My mate is as good as it gets as far as Lakers fans go. Its a shame he is afflicted with that disease.

My migration now to San Francisco has found no love for the Lakers here. It borderlines on pure hatred much like Celtics fans. I think it has more to do with Sacramento than the Warriors. This town at least routes for those two teams and for anyone else facing the Lakers. So not all Californians jump on the bandwagon.

I did see an obvious tourist from LA down town over the weekend with a cheap Bryant T-shirt on, had a nice conversation with my wife directly behind him in Swedish on his lack of taste in regards to attire.

Hey man, that's two for two. I can just picture you and your wife going on about that dude in Swedish. I speak a bit of it myself, as I've watched a lot of Swedish TV and my father also used to live in Alingsås, near Gothenburg. I have a sister there, too.

The funny thing is his post exactly proved my point.  Even the so-called "respectful" Laker fans that go to other team's boards have this internal arrogance due largely to exposure to the vortex of misinformation that surrounds Laker fandom.  Want more proof?  Take a look at their equivalent to CelticsBlog, http://www.lakersground.net, and tell me I'm wrong.
