An interesting little blurb from Yahoo's recent article on Lebron.

Quote
[Pat]Riley is also intrigued with signing Boston’s Ray Allen to get a shooter on the floor with Wade.

So now we know at least one team is definitely in the mix for Allen and he has somewhere to go should Boston choose to not resign him. Thoughts?
I would be really surprised if Ray Allen is not back with the team next year. He likes us, we like him. His family is tied to the area and he knows all our systems.

Idk about that factor anymore. Thibs is gonna be gone next year. Doc is still up in the air.

Even if both were to leave, with KG, Pierce and Rondo still here, I'm not sure how much would change. Unless they sign Don Nelson to coach or something.

We need to do whatever's needed to sign Ray and make sure he retires as a Celtic ... I'm really disheartened by the lack of loyalty that exists in the NBA these days, and players being seen only as commodities.

If the Bulls get Lebron they might only be able to offer the MLE to Ray.  With Miami it is somewhat redundant as Wade and Ray play the same position.

I think it's really up to Ainge and management what direction they want to go in as Ray has made it known he wants to stay.

Just for the record, Chicago won't have the MLE.  Teams that utilize cap space don't get the MLE (generally speaking).

sign and trades for Ray could be possible though. I wouldn't be surprised if Hinrich and Deng are still on the table.

I wouldn't be surprised if they try to use Deng and Hinrich to get Bosh from Toronto, since it's pretty much out there now that Bosh is interested in going where LBJ goes.

that would make sense. Also, Deng doesn't have much value to the bulls if they land lebron.

I'm no salary cap expert, but is this lineup a possibility?

Noah, Bosh, Lebron, Ray Allen, Rose

That lineup is possible, sure but pretty unlikely. Hypothetically, the Bulls could sign LeBron, make a sign and trade deal for Bosh then sign Ray to a vets min deal.

Chicago would be insane, but at the end of the day it probably won't happen and even if they get LeBron, if they're not adding Bosh too, they still wouldnt scare me too much.

I hope he retires here too.  He's a class act and I definitely love rooting for him.

Yeah I think he retires a Celtic. He'll have a ring or two, loves the area, if not I'd hope for a sign and trade.
