Lakers got Ron Artest specifically to guard thicker Small Forwards like Pierce, Melo, Lebron.

Pierce against Ron this year:

13ppg, 40% shooting, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
vs averages
18ppg, 47% shooting, 4 rebounds and 3 assists

-5ppg, -7% shooting, same rebounds and 1 less assist compared to his average

vs Radmanovich and Luke Walton in 2008 Finals
22ppg, 44% shooting, 5 rebounds and 6 assists

I remember going to those playoff games in '03 and '04.

2003 was especially memorable.  Pierce was really on top of his game that series.

I think the emergence of Rajon Rondo has had an effect on Pierce's shots. Especially since RR has such a speed advantage against the much slower Fisher.

Pierce in the finals, in his hometown, against a player that he's had some history with... he'll get his shots up tomorrow.

Yeah, I can pretty much guarantee that Pierce does better than 13/4/2 in this series.
