Oh well, that leaves Melo as the only other superstar for 2012 free agents.

Am I the only one here who can't stand Melo?
Why do you not like Melo?

Why? Cuz he's a no good cocky punk. I hate it when people here compare the Celtics to the Thuggets. There should be no comparison. People wanna say KG is a punk, but he plays with passion. I can't say the same for Crymelo. I couldn't stand the Nuggets since they beat the Mavs last year, and i can't stand them now.

If Durant wants to do this and OKC does do this, and they would be crazy not to, and the first thing they are going to want to do is add a defensive minded center to anchor the middle for this team for years to come

How's Perkins and Davis for Collison and their two number one picks sound

Good to me, hopefully good to OKC

Yeah I know, I'm dreaming

I would demand Harden or Green back in any trade for Perk

I think Melo is the only player in the NBA whose game I could compare to Paul Pierce's. Melo is bigger though so he is probably better. What is funny is if I was a fan of a different team, I would probably not be able to stand Paul Pierce at the beginning of his career. Melo is still young and he is a hell of a basketball player. I would take him 8 days a week as my best player.

Can't see Pierce being ecstatic about this. #34 loves to talk trash. Especially knowing that Perk is only 5 seconds away from body slamming someone. Truth.

The rich oilmen of Oklahoma will not KD go anywhere for the fear of God sending an F5 tornado through the Bible Belt as a curse for failing to sign KD to a 125 million dollar contract.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

Not at all his immaturity has bothered me since he came into the league. I think Billups has been a very good role model for him and I'm starting to like him.

I gotta admit, the hope that the C's could land Kevin Durant is very slim anyway. Superstars like that don't leave their current teams unless something irrevocably bad is going on.

That part of your post made me SO SAD. We were literally an inch away - a ping-pong ball- from having him on our team for, like you said, a longggg time. I wouldn't have taken Durant over a championship but....nyehgggggg. Durant, Big Al, Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo is a young and talented group.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Its sad but true. Were were such favorites to land Duncan back in the day too. I can't tell you how many times I wished those stupid ping pong balls would've bounced our way. We gotta move on. Go chase another title, and after that everyone is expendable in the C's search for the next great player.

I hope OKC DOES win a championship down the road. I'm a C's fan forever, but I watch OKC whenever I get a bit of free time (along with the Lakers/Cavs). They're are really fun to watch and there 1 strong big man away from being a GREAT team. If the GM doesn't tamper with his 1-7 players he's going to have a legit contender within another year or two.
True Celtic = Leon Powe

Bring back the show!!!!
