From where I stand, we are 1-1 against contenders when we are truly healthy...

Well, the interesting thing is that evidently Danny Ainge still approves of Doc Rivers....this is why he is still allowing Doc to experiment with these lineups....to us they may not make sense, but maybe Doc and Danny sees things differently...

As Fans, we want to see our Celtics Stomp CLE, but maybe Doc and Danny can see a Bigger Picture out of all of this..

Just what is that bigger picture that would force Doc to play Rondo 45 minutes tonight and put some horrendous combinations on the floor?

I can't answer that one, Vinnie - I wish I could.

What I can say is that Danny evidently still believes in Doc.

That is the issue I have. You make all these positive statements about the Celts' chances to win a championship, yet you ahve few if any answers to all of these questions. There is no bigger picture.

Let's see:

Celtic Mystique?

Ain't over til it's over?

Fat Lady ain't singing?

Playoffs aren't here yet?

I'm just hanging on until then, Vinnie.

45 minutes...

man, this is crazy.  rondo ended up having the worst +/- on the team because he was in the game and exhausted through the whole 4th quarter run.  doc needs to get a clue. this is crazy. its funny that we trade eddie for nate to upgrade our backup pg, then we use him even less than our "less serviceable" one.

what is sad and not doc's fault is that KG looked just as tired even only logging 28 min.

I am off the Doc bandwagon. He is an idiot. I appreciate the championship, but this team is no longer good enough to get by on talent alone. The coach has to be better, and Doc is continuing to fail with his ridiculous lineups, refusal to bench players who are under-performing, and refusal to give rest to guys who need it the most.  I've completely lost faith in Doc.::)

Tonight's loss has two simple explanations:

- Doc left our two worst rebounding big men, Sheed and Davis, in the game too long in the second half. They got in with a 6 point lead and got out with a 6 point deficit as the cavs killed us in the paint.

- Doc ran Rondo to the ground. When KG and Perk got back in, the cavs stopped going to the paint and started shooting wide open three pointers. They were wide open because Rondo had played 42 consecutive minutes at that point and couldn't keep up with Mo Williams.

It is really that simple.

When Sheed and Davis got in, it was 70-64 celtics. When they got out, it was 84-78 cavs. Of those 20 points, 12 were in the paint.

Then, with KG and Perkins back in, the cavs only scored 6 of their last 24 points in the paint (and 2 of those were Powe in garbage time).

But by this time Rondo was gassed, and Mo Williams dropped 11 points on him and the game got out of hand.
