Amare and Rondo would have been a great combo.
I watched the Dallas / PHX game, and saw Amare outrunning everyone down the court for layups and dunks.

He could have been Rondo's wingman.

Getting Amare was unrealistic, but I agree. Tyrus Thomas would have been a guy to come here to exploit Rondo's speed, and was readily available. Very disappointed we didn't get him.

thomas would have been ok but i think there will be better options available over the next few years. of we are able to land outlaw this offseason with the MLE and are able to sign pp to a discount deal the following year we may have the funds to bring in another young big who matches rondo's strenghts with out the TT headcase issue.
potentially available young running bigs
A. Randolph
J. Thompson
B. Wright
Taj Gibson
Jeff Green
and ahhheahhhhheahhhhh K Durant!

I'd say Rondo and Nate Robinson are the two fastest players in the NBA. The only competitors are Aaron Brooks and Monta Ellis.

I can think of a few other fast players but most of them aren't as fast or have lost their speed over age...
Iverson, Parker, Barbosa, Harris, Rose, CP3, DWade, LeBron, T.J. Ford.

I'm sure I missed a few!

Maybe Mike Sweetney.
