Trade Idea: Roger Mason

Mason has requested a trade and the Spurs are looking to comply. A straight Scalabrine for Mason deal works via Trade Checker:

Why trade Scal? If Mason wants a more significant role (as the "player news" in his ESPN profile says), I don't think we'd want to fight them with House. But, is Mason worth giving up House?

I don't think San Antonio has any use for Scalabrine.

Roger Mason is already an expiring deal so we'd have to send a pick or a useful player for San Antonio to want to pull the trigger.

If this is legit, then House for Mason would be AMAZING. Mason can shoot lights out, and can handle the ball. The more ball handlers and shooters that aren't undersized we can get, go for it. He could be our 6th man for sure.

Yeah i saw him sitting on the bench the other night. Was wondering if he could fit in with the Celtics. Could take the spot of eddie.

Why would San Antonio trade him for House though? They're surely looking for a rotation player or something else of value if they're trading him. He's not signed after this year so just trading him for House wouldn't do anything for the Spurs.

San Antonio would need to receive a first round pick to consider parting with Roger Mason Jr for an inferior player.
