And it's official, Sweet Caroline has become the most contrived piece of Bostonian culture since the Citgo sign.

Whats wrong with the Citgo sign?

In a city as historic as Boston, it qualifies as as a landmark? The bogosity abounds.

I must be a loser because I enjoy Sweet Caroline and the Citgo sign.

I like the Citgo sign, but my disdain for Sweet Caroline goes back to long before they started doing it at Fenway.  A bar I frequented played it every flippin' night to much the same kind of reaction. The people singing along were way too into themselves.  Maybe I was just in the wrong bar...I dunno.
