Do you mean to tell me that...
1. We have been killed with injuries this year?
2. That we have not once played together as a team with a steady 8 man roation that includes all our key rotation guys?
3. That we played five games with Pierce, KG, Marquis and tow of those games we also were without Rondo?
4. That we played the first few months of the season without Baby and TA?
5. That we've played more games on the raod than at home?
6. That we've not been able to create any team chemistry on the court becasue of all the injuries?
7. That we have missed KG, who is "our Kobe", "our LeBron", "Our DHoward", for 10+ games?
...and we are still only 4-5 games back of the best record in the league and have the 3rd best as it stands?
And that had WE NOT given away the Orlando and Laker games we'd only be a bout 2-3 games behind both the Lakers and Cavs for best record in the league?
Is that what you're telling me?
I think maybe we ought to wait until everyone gets healthy and plays together for at least 2-3 weeks before we declare the end of the big three and the Celtics chances of winning another title.
We've been like wounded bear the entire season, stunbling around on 2 1/2 legs with everyone giving us their absolute best, physical shot every night and we are within earshot of best record once we put together a nice run and win our next head to head match ups with the Cavs, Magic and Lakers.
With Tony playing solid and Marquis coming back, Ray will get more rest and will start knocking down shots much better, everyone will start getting a groove.
I think it's a mistake for other teams, and us, to underestimate the Celtics as they round into health.
Big mistake.
