Players the C's could/should trade for (realistic moves)!!!

This is a list of players who the Celtics could/should imo go after before the deadline. This list of players are individuals who the C's could realistically get a deal done with. I'm tired of seeing people on here posting threads and stuff about going to trade for players like (Jamison,Gerald Wallace, Caron Butler, Rip Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince, Kevin Martin, etc.)

Why people want to Destroy and tear apart arguably the best starting 5, over the last 3 years, with the best chemistry in the League, i dont understand the concept of that. Because the only way we would get some of those players, would be a trade involving one of our starters, namely (Perkins, and Ray Ray).

I do believe that we need to make improvements, but not anything drastic that would cause changes with our starting unit. (I think it says/shows something when we are the only team with the same starting 5 in the entire league just 3 years ago)[Atl. might be the only other team].

The moves we need to make, is to make this team deeper and versatile. So I went through all of the rosters, and picked out players that i feel Danny should go after and who the other teams GM would be willing to trade. (and who i feel could make an impact/difference for the C's[bench]). I chose this list of players also based on who i feel are our tradeable pieces and there value out on the market: Tony Allen,Big Baby, Shelden,Scal, JR, and Walker.

--Anthony Randolph--is there any way we can get a hold of him, now while he's hurt? they say might have a broken ankle. haha, i know this one is a stretch.

I think its obvious we need a true backup point guard.And then another backup wing, who is athletic, versatile, brings energy & hustle, and does not require plays to be ran for him, to be effective offensively. (sounds like Dominic McGuire)

Finally I think it wouldn't hure to go after another big, its not a need, but I think if we get rid of Scal,Shel, or Baby, we could definetly use another big, for depths sake.

Chucky Atkins - Expiring. Detroit would ask for too much to trade him. I don't have any interest in him anyway.

Dorrell Wright--has been playing well lately, MIA might keep him - I think Miami will trade him in order to get under the luxury tax threshold. Maybe we can get into a 3 teams deal offering our draft pick. I like Wright, I'd do it.

Ditto for everyone but Keyon Dooling.  He's partially guaranteed for next year so we'd technically be saving NJ money. 

I think he could help us.  Quick, solid ball-handler, decent shooter, good penetrator and ok passer.  We could definitely stand to upgrade our guard depth.

I think, on the cheap, Marcus Williams could give a solid 10 minutes of backup PG play.  At the very least, he's a natural PG and is dirt cheap.  I think he's a guy that needs to find his niche, and when he does, will be a solid PG for somebody.

Haha you know what I find funny: You talk about how tired you are of other fans posting trade ideas for actual good players like Rip, Wallace, Prince and Martin.  However you then you compile a list of the least talented players in the NBA that would be mere hand-me downs from other teams (lol.) Sorry, half joking half serious. You think the New Jersey Nets would also let us take care of their laundry basket too?

I compiled a list of these players because its realistic. Our trading pieces are: TONY ALLEN, BRIAN SCALABRINE, JR GIDDENS, SHELDEN WILLIAMS, BILL WALKER.....what do you expect to get in return with guys like that? Really.

I know most of those guys on the list are not stars, or big names or big minute players. but i feel some of them have certain intangibles that would suit this team better than some of the intangibles that Scal,Tony,JR etc. present.

I think the C's would be very foolish to trade Shelden Williams unless they're getting a better NBA big back. For a minimum player he's very productive.
