I love this Tony Allen. When Baby comes back and if Tony stays playing like that, I can say in all honesty that we have the best bench in the league by a clear margin.

I still say that part of Tony's resurgent play is based on the horrible quality of basketball team and basketball player he has been playing against since coming back 6 games ago. I don't see how that can be discounted or, as SAMP tries to falsely explain away, that he was only playing the best players on those teams.

There is probably something to that. I would say that last night he played as well as he is probably able to. The only cringe moment was when he pushed the ball up the floor and dished it off for the jumper at the buzzer. He was out of control and got lucky. The rest of the time he played VERY good basketball. The TWOLVES bench is indeed terrible though. I thought what he did well though was not forcing much. THAT is where he kills us. He played within the flow and I give him one game credit for that. Now let's see if he comes in the next game and tries to push it that much further and turns back into bad Tony, or he realizes that he plays best when he does like last night. Something tells me he won't magically get it...

People who are still skeptical about Tony are forgetting something. Tony has been better in 6 games then Marquis has been the whole season. I liked Marquis in the preseason and felt we found a more in control, slower TA, but TA has shown way more in these past 6. Marquis was good for November so I wonder how much that injury affected him.

Tony is finally adjusting to the less explosive version. All his life he relied on his explosiveness. And then when He tore both his ACL & MCL, Tony had to relearn his body. Pre-injuries, No one could've stopped Tony one-on-one. One step and he was gone. So losing what made him so great is tough. Add to that thumb surgery, ankle surgery.........   Maybe now we're seeing what a healthy Tony can do.
