  • Thank you Eddie!
Two of the three major sports in this country may have a lockout in '11.  That winter should be fun for everyone involved, especially for the fans and those who work at ESPN,  who may be forced to replace those with hockey and soccer... stranger things have happened.

Boston Blazers will be playing.

Edit: Also, Hartford is getting a UFL team this year. ;D So we'll still be able to watch professional football hopefully.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Allegely (family legend), my uncle Mark was signed on with the Pats during the lockout in the 80's. They liked him enough to keep him on through the preseason of the following year, after which Lawrence Taylor promptly turned his knee into jello during a preseason game.

Lockouts are a doorway for unappreciated players. I couldn't care less.

Good - I'm getting some serious schadenfreude over the NFL.  I like football fine but it annoys me to no end that nothing seems to "stick" to that league's reputation, and anything negative vaguely related to the NBA does.  Heck, people were dumping on the NBA for the Vegas All-Star weekend when the only major incident was the Pac-Man Jones strip club shooting.
I especially love the dude from the Bills who was pleasuring himself on someone's lawn. Classy. No helmet, but maybe a Jimmy cap.
