Would not mind at all get Damien Wilkins in here good player to have during the season to take more and more mins. off of Pierce and Allen. I in the past have lobbied for Wilkins.. Some reason Danny didn't like the idea lol  ???

I don't get the Wilkens love. He's Tony Allen with less defensive ability and a little less turnovers(not a lot less).

I don't like an Atkins and Wilens trade for Scal, Tony and Giddens. Atkins if awful and Wilkens is Tony. So we trade Scal Tony and Giddens for Tony and Atkins?? Count me unimpressed. We have to be able to get better than that at some point.

Scal is the best player in that trade.  I really wouldn't want Wilkens or Atkins.  And I agree that Wilkens isn't any better than TA.

Sometimes the Tony Allen that you don't know is better than the one you do.

There's much better wings left in free agency -- Udoka + Bogans -- than Damien Wilkins. Chucky Atkins hasn't been a serviceable player in two years to injuries, and at 35 it's unknown what he has left in the tank.

There's no way I'm willing to give up Giddens for either/both of these players. I also think TA and Scal are superior players and I'd be unwilling to give them up too.

Can we please just sign a free agent on a minimum contract before the season starts? The team needs one more perimeter player and then it's ready to go? Udoka or Bogans? Please!

If this rumor had any legs it might be an indication of DA's desire to free roster spots and get some economic relief by cutting Atkins. Right now we have only one roster spot free and some players that the team doesn't seem to want (Tony and JR)

I'm also unimpressed.

I'll take the Tony Allen I do know over the Tony Allen I dont know know (Wilkens).

If we're going to take a shot at Corey Brewer than sign me up! He is coming off a major knee injury but he was really starting to play well before he went down last year. He is 6'9" and he has the athleticism to guard any wing position. He struggled when he came into the league because he was too skinny. I've heard he's been working hard and is ready to go this year. You can never have enough defensive minded players. I think he would be a good compliment to Rondo. They could do a lot of damage in the open court. Brewer can knock down an open 3ball as well.

TP4U. My original thinking as well. I'ld give up Scal and Tony for Brewer as Atkins would probably be cut opening a roster spot for Danny's eventual late season add on of a player bought out mid season.

I am officially confused now. If we trade 3 for 2, this will open a roster spot even if we choose to sign Hudson.

I understand the management might think Atkins is done (he's, what, 36?), but why would we cut a player who addresses a position we might need some depth at? Does cutting him offer that much payroll savings?

yep, and lux tax savings. also adds room for a bogans, etc. i seriously doubt this will happen (matt "don't call me britt" hume is just bored in september), but i could see trading for chucky to cut him. why minny would do it is a total mystery. they need tony allen and scal like they need a hole in the head.

Seeing that there is ZERO links or other traces of this rumor, I'd say it's false. Makes sense, but false. We need a bench PG and SF. Tony Allen does nothing for us, so trading him with Scal for these 2 guys makes sense. My only hope in that trade is that we send money for them to buyout Scal so we can resign him. Love his game. Either way, i love the fact that 2 holes are filled. I'm all for Wilkins
Can't stop, Rondo!
