Anyone know when training camp starts?  I'm ready for some basketball.

That long?  I thought it started near the end of August or early September. :(

Last year, they started training camp on September 29. yeah, still a ways to go unfortunately.

Probably because we're now getting to the playoffs so we start later.

I'm pretty sure they all start the same day because of the collective bargaining agreement

I am dying for some Celtic basketball! I cant wait to see the fun they have when we are blowing someone out with Rasheed,KG,Paul, and Ray Ray! Cant wait to see Daniels as well! I guess College football and NFL will have to do till then!

The typical rule of thumb for the Basketball and Hockey is that training camp usually begins about a month to 5 weeks before opening day.  Football and Baseball usually start about 6-7 weeks before the season.

I'm anxious for the season to start too.  Ever since giving up baseball (still haven't attended a game or purchased any merchandise after they cancelled the world series for that F*#$%^%@$ strike), the summer is a sports wasteland for me.  A lot to look forward to this year!

On the same topic, wonder when we will see who is invited to camp?

I know alot of folks think the roster is near set, but a few training camp battles for those last couple of spots is something I have always looked forward to watching.

I also wonder if Lester Hudson will be healthy enough to compete, I would love to see him get some run as a PG with the veterans in a preaseason contest.

I think Doc definitely knows what he's got in terms of individual talent.  There will definitely be some experimenting going on with his lineups in the pre-season to see what works and what doesn't.  It'll be fun to watch.
