Bobby Jackson, a possibility?

I was doing some research on Bobby Jackson because I think he would be a good backup for Rondo, even though he is 36, and I found this article dated back from August the 7th :

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Bobby Jackson said he probably won't be with the Kings much longer.

The veteran guard told KCRA 3 on Friday "it's still up in the air" whether he'll return to Sacramento next season. The free agent played for the Kings from 2000 to 2005.

Then Jackson went to the Memphis Grizzlies, the New Orleans Hornets and finally the Houston Rockets, before being traded back to the Kings in July 2008's Ron Artest trade.

Jackson, 36, said he has "no clues yet, but probably by the end of this month I'll know where I'm going."

I know it was obvious that Jackson wasn't going to stay with the Kings but do you think he is considering the C's (and vice versa)? He could sign for the veteran minimum.

We may end up with somebody like Jackson in that price range.  Depends on how much is left in the old tank.  I can see him filling a Sam I Am type roll.  I still see Rondo's backup being played by committee though (Daniels, House, New Signee).

Yea. I started a thread last week about that "Bobby Jackson?"

He'd be great in that role. Slash, pass, and hit the 3. Plus he's long and quick to defend.

Jackson, to me, seems the best available option -- better than Ty Lue, not a headcase like AI, and more fitting than House. I wish that everyone (especially Doc and Danny) would realize that House is a shooting guard, pure and simple. I've not seen Daniels play, so maybe he'd be okay at the 1, but I'd rather see Hudson get a chance than see the point-guard-by-committee take place.
