Outlaw is also great when his teams are allowed to play with 6 men on the court.   ;)

TPs for the last two posts.

I'd like to get Outlaw, but can't see us having the package necessary to get him. He's athletic, 24, 6'9" with a very good jumper. Not much handle or playmaking ability, and his defense isn't stellar, but it has improved over the past couple of years and like I said before, he's athletic, 24 and 6'9" - a good recipe for being a good defender (especially if he's playing with good defenders like Perk and KG behind him and has a great defensive coach like Thibodeau).

Michael Anthony, what does Scalabrine-to-Memphis have to do with this? Are you suggesting a three way deal where Portland sends Outlaw to us, we send Scalabrine and cash to Memphis and Portland gets nothing? Why would we have to be included in that? Wouldn't Memphis just prefer to get Outlaw?

The question we'd have to ask would be - would we give up Walker to get Outlaw? If you added that part to the package above, it might make some sense for Portland.
Go Celtics.

I would absolutely love to get Outlaw or Fernandez for that matter. Maybe we give them TA, Scal, Pruitt and JR. They could cut Pruitt and JR, both Scal an TA's contracts expire in 2010.

Would that be enough for either of these guys?

you're all kidding yourselves if you think we can pry outlaw away from portland, a team that overvalues their young guys.  He's their 6th man (he's 4th in minutes per game though), 6-9, young, a perfect back-up for Hedo AND he has a very reasonable contract.  I mean, with Hedo on the team he makes a lot of sense.  They can go big with him and hedo on the wings and Roy holding down the point.

Most importantly though, he's already an expiring contract.  Why would they get rid of him?  We're more likely to get someone along the lines of Batum, Rudy Fernandez, Bayless or (most likely) Martell Webster.  The only guys I'd want out of that group are Fernandez and Batum.  All this aside, I think this team is holding out for a bigger deal with all these pieces.
