Rondo is great, but Baron can shoot.

Rondo's a better shooter than Baron. More importantly, he's better than Baron in every other facet of the game.
Um, this statement seems a tad hyperbolic - maybe it's just me.

Do you think Davis is a better shooter? If not, what does he do better? Pass? Defend? Rebound? Handle the ball?

I think a trade of:

Ray Allen

Rajon Rondo

Brian Scalabrine

to the Clippers for:

Baron Davis

Marcus Camby

Al Thornton or Eric Gordon

The Clippers' 2010 first rounder

This a great trade for the Celtics and gives us a real shot at numba 18. Camby is expiring and could be resigned for smaller money if we dont keep Big Baby. Baron as our starting PG. We would then start Bill Walker at the three amd PP at the two. Camby, Baby and House off the bench as 6th, 7th and 8th men.

Gordon or Thornton would shortly crack the rotation as well.

The Clippers love this because of the money savings and addition of Rondo.

That 2010 draft pick will be mucho valuable to us.

I think we have a "real shot at #18" by standing pat and adding a few pieces via Free agency.

I really think any trade involving the clippers should no longer be discussed on this blog. Not because they are bad ideas, or they dont make sense for the celts or for the clippers but simply for the reason that they are the clippers.  If there is a more unpredictable franchise I dont know who it is.

I mean they took Yaroslav Koralev before Danny Granger, Hakeem Warick, Gerald Green, and David Lee

This trade makes sense but the Clippers wouldn't do it. There fanbase would be devastated about losing out on Griffin
