Another trade rumor(and denial) : Ray to the Wolves

Just for the sake of discussion in such a sunday with lack of NBA articles. I found this on realgm:

"There’s another trade rumor floating out there seemingly even more far-fetched than the Al and No. 6 to Phoenix for Amare: This one says the Wolves send Mike Miller, Randy Foye and Ryan Gomes to Boston for Ray Allen. Since Kahn lamented Friday how nobody in the media business calls anymore for confirmation and denial of such rumors, I texted Kahn about this one and asked if there was possibly any truth to it. I would do that trade in a heartbeat, but there is no way it can be true. If anything it would probably be Miller and Gomes for Ray and I wouldn't do that deal if I was Danny. If you could somehow  get MIller and Foye for Ray , Walker and a future 1st I would do that .

What a stupid "rumor".   The original author must have read it on some fan site, because it makes no sense.

Miller is an expiring contract, Foye is about to enter restricted free agency, and Gomes' contract is only partially guaranteed after this season.  This trade doesn't make the Twolves better, and it doesn't give them any more cap room.

Sota gives up their point guard of the future, their 3rd leading scorer and Mike Miller(expiring contract makes him a huge trade chip) for 34 year old Ray?

Bogus rumor. Maybe the worst i've heard all offseason.
