I am disgusted with how the team played tonight.

Pierce and Ray Allen are to good to play like they did over the series.

Yes, worried as well. Why put together three studs and then surround them with half a bench. Ainge of all people should have known this having played through it in the 80's. Maybe his hands were tied, I don't know.

I'm not for trading anyone of the big three. I think if we surround them with decent role players, they can win it again.

BUT, if we're not going to surround them with the right players, set them free and to a team that is willing to do rather then standing them up there like a punching bag because they're toast come 3-4 of the way through the season.

Unless you're willing to treat these palyers right with the bench they need, which is only asking for competence off the bench, trade them and rebuild.

I'm disgusted at Doc in this game. No one else.
How so?

Pierce looked like he was a slug.
Nice description ... unfortunately ... Pierce looked completely off pace tonight.

Yeah, this game was very disappointing.  I'm glad the best team won...we can't say that the Celtics deserved to win this game.  Not at all.  It would have been worse in a way if the Celtics had played better and still lost somehow.  But it's really disappointing that we had a game 7 at home, and we had a great opportunity to win tonight, and the team that came out with intensity and the desire to win was the visiting team, not us.  In an elimination game, at home, in the second round of the playoffs, our team turned in one of the worst performances of the whole post season.

I'm almost glad we lost because we would have been absolutely destroyed by the Cavs if we played like that.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

I'm not disgusted, but certainly disappointed. This was the worst defensive game I think the C's played in the entire playoffs. As for their offense, there was none. Rondo (don't tell me about his double double) had a poor game tonight in my opinion. Bad decision making and did nothing to get the offense going. Pierce had nothing left -- how often have we seen Pierce have only 2 rebounds in an entire game? Sadly, Perk had his first bad game of the playoffs tonight. And Big Baby again tried to do too much. As for the bench, nothing to talk about.

I was kind of surprised that Orlando took this game from the start and nearly blew the C's out in the first quarter tonight. The C's led this game once -- 2-0 -- which astounds me. I was not sure whether they would win or lose tonight, but I certainly am surprised at the way they played.

Orlando played a very good game and their defense was tough. However, when your shooters have either open lanes to the basket all night or wide open threes, it's pretty easy to score.

Over all a disappointing end to the season. I think the following will be gone -- T. Allen, Pruitt, Moore, Marbury, and possibly House. I also believe that if they get a good offer for Ray they might take it.

Disappointed but far from disgusted. Thanks, Celts.

Sorry. Very proud of the fact that we made it this far without KG or Powe, but the effort put on tonight was terrible.  They shot the lights out, yes, but from the first play, these guys looked like they never played together before.  Defense was out of whack with bad switches everywhere.  Offense was discombobulated and everyone looked like they were out of sync.  Almost seems like they were in shock from having 2 days of rest.

Jump on me all you want.  Again, VERY proud of how far we made it with only 8 guys that are playable, but tonight was awful and its gonna kill me all offseason.  Get KG to surgery tomorrow.
I'm not sure why you use the word 'effort', since the players were clearing trying hard. The better team won.

The Orlando defense was great. They shut us down.

I watched the game w/ my step-father among friends and family (he's not a Cs fan).  In the 4th quarter with 8 to go, he gave the room 3 to 1 odds that Orlando would win.  I just believed in our team, and took it.

End of the season, out $$ to my step-father.  On his way out he turned to me with money in hand and said "hope you have enough money to get home..."

I'm disappointed, but not disgusted.  This team fought hard, I like the things they represent about the sport they play, and the city they fought for.  Let's get the team healthy, move some pieces around, and get ready to rally around this team next year.  You can't win 'em all, and I'd take that bet again in a heartbeat if I had the chance.

It was a great season.  Kevin Garnett is the Boston Celtics like Tim Duncan is the Spurs.  Without him we were going nowhere.  I'm proud of the guys for overachieving and beating the Bulls, but without KG our offense struggled and our defense went from world-class to mediocre at best.

Orlando was better.  I'm over it.

The only shame is that the champs never got a chance to defend their belt.

Should really be disgusted over the Game 6 loss.

Game 7 we were in the game and laid a massive egg in the 4th quarter. We spotted them 10 straight points to open the 4th. You would have though the C's had the momentum going into the 4th after the Rondo buzzer beater, but it was the Magic who jumped out of the gate again.

Can't be disgusted with the type of season we had, but that kind of uninspiring 4th quarter is just a sign of team too worn out, too beaten down, too weak to continue forward.

Without KG we became a different team, a very good one but a vulnerable one. We didn't or couldn't follow the same path as last year, the defense and the intensity could not be there without our leader and with such a small contribution from the bench. We missed someone huge from the bench too. Scalabrine did a great job, but he really can't do anything else. He played as a 6th man (doing a very decent job) but he shouldn't be asked to do so much. We need some more players
