These numbers are staggering. Only Jason Kidd And Magic I think has more triple doubles in a single Playoffs series than Rajon.
How much cash are we going to have to give him minimum, for his next contract. I know if I was his agent i would be looking for huge Dollars. Agreed?

agreed. Rondo is a Celtic and let's keep it that way and then retire #9 in the rafters one day after he helps put some more banners up there with it.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

  • Rondo = Good
Rondo + Perk = Celtics future.

BBD in that conversation too.

Keep them at all costs.

Here's what I think will happen. If we let Ray walk after next year or sign him at a discount. We will then sign a big free agent from another team, while Rondo is still on his rookie contract. Then after we lock up another good player we'll sign Rondo to a big deal. If we sign him to a big deal before Ray walks then we don't have any cap room to sign anyone else. Once Rondo fixes his shot he'll be well worth it. He needs to go from the triple threat position straight up to shoot, what he currently does is cock the ball back behind his ear (similar to Tony Allen) that leaves too much wasted motion and leaves less room for error on his stroke. Also it would be nice if he could add some muscle before getting signed to a big contract if he becomes the focus of the team he'll start to take more hits which could result in an injury on his slight frame.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

We will not have any cap room to sign a big free agent for the foreseeable future. We will need to be using the MLE or trading for any new players.

Rondo + Perk = Celtics future.

So, basically, Ainge didn't sign Posey to a long, over-paid contract to make sure he didn't have a bad deal blocking the window when Rondo and Perk are in their prime in their late 20's.

The idea that NBA pocket change would somehow block the re-sign of the Celtics' youth is one of this blog's great myths, along with the contention that Tony Allen is a lockdown defender.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."
