So im getting surgery on my ass in a couple weeks.  Its kinda of embarrassing but i was wondering if any of you guys have ever had fistula surgery and can kinda let me know how long the recovery process is and how painful its going to be.  Or if any doctors on here who can give me some insight.

There are way too many wise guy responses to work with here, but since I don't have any actual insight, I'll just wish you well with the procedure and hope for a speedy recovery.
Yup

I agree with Redz in that you are probably going to receive many "wise guy" responses, but I too will simply wish you the best of luck and a speedy recovery.

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.

I had a friend who had it...he was sort of a dirty hippie, which may or may not have had a hand in his situation.  Unfortunately, since it happened to him in college, he ended up needed a fair amount of assistance in cleaning/packing the abcess from his roommate, who was also another high school friend.  They didn't get along as well afterwards.

It wasn't terribly painful, just an annoyance.  A lot of maintenance before it goes away.  Hopefully yours is easier.  Good luck, my friend.

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

I had a friend who had a polynodial ( I think that's how it's spelt?) cist and it was in the same area. Idk if it's similar though...I'm no Doc Blob.
