As an aside, how did Marbury look last night.  I see he didn't score but he also passed out some assists.  Is he being allowed to run the offense more?  Just curious as I did not see the game.  Thanks.

Gotta love The Onion.  Good stuff.

He had a very mediocre run for the most part - some turnovers and fouls, and at least one airball with the shot clock running out.  He and Eddie had a perfect drive-and-dish to end the half though.

Marbury looks out of practice to me. He missed some shots, including driving layups. He made one or two turnovers. He is not comfortable with his Celtics defensive rotations. His game needs work which is not a surprise being off the court for more than a year now.

I dont think he's in basketball shape yet.  He looks terrible.

I think Marbury was too passive on the offensive end last night.  He hesitated and passed up open shots.  Doc said after they acquired Marbury that he wanted him to be aggressive, and that he would let him know if he needed to hold back at all.  Hopefully he starts to take that advice, and I'm sure he will once he gets more comfortable and gets his timing down.  But it's at least nice to see that he's trying to get involved in the team concept.

I have a hard time seeing on my little screen, but Marbury seems to be a little more fluid in running the limited offense of our second unit.  Again in this game, at least one atrocious turnover at halfcourt.  His defense is struggling, but the whole second unit seems confused without Scal, Tony and now BBD playing with the starters.  And Marbury is getting some odd defensive assignments. I'd be remiss in not mentioning he had a spectacular assist to Walker.  All in all, he's not dominating, but he's showing enough of his former self to draw defenders.  I think all will improve with time, practice and the return of our injured players.

Marbury passed open a lot of shots, which idk why since we all KNOW he can score. I think he's psyched out and wants to pass first to look like he's selfless now and has changed his ways. Im sorry but i'd rather have "Starbury" putting up 21 points with 2 assists or none, w/e gets us the W.

Quote of the article:

"Conferring with one another, the Big Three all agreed that Marbury had implied, if not expressly stated, that perhaps Celtics coach Doc Rivers should be stabbed to death, an implication they found unnerving. "

Marbury wasn't quoting Shakespeare there, he was quoting someone on Celticsblog . . .   ::)
