Pierce's numbers in his fourth year in the league are eerily similar to Granger's...
Pierce - FG%: 0.442, 3P%: 0.404, RPG: 6.9, APG: 3.2, PPG: 26.1
Granger - FG%: 0.435, 3P%: 0.398, RPG: 5.0, APG: 3.2, PPG: 25.4
Pierce gets the edge in the rebounding department but their numbers are nearly identical in every other category. Comparing Granger to Pierce is a very fair comparison but Pierce has the benefit of seniority. Pierce still has a lot of basketball left in him and even if you look at 06-07 (the pre-Big 3 era) Pierce put up very comparable numbers to Granger. His role has changed since his earlier days but I'm confident he could put similar numbers and has the experience edge. No Granger isn't better than Pierce right now but he'll be as good someday if hes not there already.
