For the last several years my basketball roto league has held our annual auction at Jamey's in Marshfield and its worked out well.  Unfortunately has closed up shop and we need a new place.  A bunch of us are from Cape Cod and a bunch of us are from Boston, so Marshfield was a decent middle ground.  Ideally we're looking for a place near the highway and within an exit or 2 of Marshfield.

For years we used to hold it at the Allston Sports Depot in the Caboose, which was pretty fun, but it's too far out of the way now.  Is that place even there still?

Anyhow, any suggestions would be appreciated.
Yup

If anyone could get me some ones in the NORTHshore too, that'd be great.

Alumni Sports Cafe is in Pembroke, only about a mile or so off of Exit 12.  It's not a big place, but it's fun and the pizza is pretty good.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

The pizza is very good, and it's pretty easy to get there. Halfway Cafe in the center of Marshfield is pretty new, they have MLB Extra innings and bunch of HDtvs...it's small too though. Venus II is in Brant Rock and pretty sparsely populated since summer's over, so you guys would have plenty of space to yourselves.

ps - Yes, the Sports Depot is still there.

I used to live right around the corner from the Halfway Cafe in Dedham/W Roxbury.  Good place and cheap eats.

Thanks for the suggestions all.

RondoIsAPimp,

Skybox in Tewksbury is pretty sweet... Younger crowd (20's), dart room with basketball and TV's everywhere you turn your head.

A bit of a ride up 18 off of Route 3 but what about the Ale house in Abington Redz?

I made a reservation for the Alumni Sports pub in Pembroke.  Convenience is key.  Doesn't have to be that great a place, but the lady I spoke to was nice and they could accommodate.  As long as we can hear each other.  It's one of my favorite nights of the year.  We have 13 teams, and most have been in this league for 10 years or more.  The league started in 1992 - I rode David Robinson & MJ's backs to a title!

(we later had a guy quit over some sort of perceived injustice over who got Michael when he came out of retirement(

A South Shore question and I missed it!!!!   ???
I was away when this was posted - sorry I missed chiming in.

Here's a few:

Plymouth harbor has Cabby Shack (most recommended)
http://www.cabbyshack.com/

At exit 14 in Rockland there's a TK O'Shea's.  Not bad, just your typical sports haunt.

In Scituate harbor theres another TK, but this one's called TK O'Malley's.

Kingston has a Charlie Horse (bit of a dive)
http://www.thecharliehorse.net/

Also in Plymouth there's two British Beer Company locations
http://www.britishbeer.com/

Useless bit of info:
The 1/2 weigh cafe in Marshfield used to be a McDonald's.
