I wouldn't call them busts. I'd say PJ worked out better, but I don't think either one worked out the way I expected.

not to pile on sam, but without PJ, we probably do not beat cleveland.

sam was huge against SA on the road, but has had a rough playoffs.

PJ Brown, baby!

What's with the past tense?

I put "both awesome" because "both OK" wasn't available. PJ has done better than Sam, and I wouldn't complain if they brought him back as a 15th man next year. Both were basically free. I don't care if I don't see Sam again in the playoffs (or in green) but his play in game 2 vs Cleveland justified the money they spent on him and any minutes they wasted on him in the regular season.

What's with the past tense?

Cause we're at a point where we can look back, knowing what we know now, and evaluate whether it was worth it

PJ until now.  I hope Sam helps us in Finals.

Actually, no we're not.  I'm sure there are plenty of people that think the Cassell signing was a bust.  Do you think they'd feel the same way if he hit a couple big shots in the finals that lead to a big win and an eventual title??  I don't think so.

And I'm sure some people thought P.J. Brown had no business being in the league during the regular season and even in the Atlanta series.  But he came up HUGE in game 7 against Cleveland.

The Finals is where everyone gets a chance to earn their paycheck and cement their place in history.

And this is where Sam Cassell, as a rookie and 2nd year player, made a name for himself.

I'd wager we will be glad he's in Green in about a week or so...
God bless and good night!

Well that's one way to look at it, but I like to think even those guys weren't around we'd still be here. I'd say we're at a point where we can look back and say the KG and Ray deals worked out. I don't think you have to wait a whole year by any means

Let's hope Sam doesn't step on the court.  It's Eddie House's "turn" to back up Rondo.
