Key Offseason PredictionsFrontcourt Reinforcements: Analysts expect Boston to pursue a versatile big man to support Neemias Queta, who emerged as a starter. Predicted targets include Daniel Gafford via trade or Orlando's Goga Bitadze.Financial & Roster Management: The Celtics enter the summer below the luxury tax levels but must decide on team options for young players like Jordan Walsh and Baylor Scheierman. Experts suggest they may move trade-eligible first-round picks to acquire cost-effective veteran talent.Draft Strategy: Holding the No. 27 and No. 40 picks, the team is projected to look for "pro-ready" shooting and size. Mock drafts have them linked to prospects like Alex Karaban to provide spacing.Core Outlook: While Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown remain the cornerstones, there is speculation about whether the team will "run it back" or pursue a blockbuster move to land additional stars to complement the Tatum-Brown-White core

Gifford or Bitadze anyone?

Giannis Antetokounmpo Rumors: NBA analysts have suggested the Celtics have the necessary assets to trade for Giannis if he becomes unhappy, with some trade frameworks involving Jaylen Brown as the core piece for salary matching.

Then I asked what will happen with Jaylen Brown this summer
Quote
1. Significant Trade Rumors (The "Shock the League" Scenario)Following the Celtics' 2026 playoff exit, chatter suggests Boston might consider a major roster shake-up to avoid the strictures of the second-apron salary cap.Giannis Sweepstakes: Analysts like Sam Amick suggest that if the Milwaukee Bucks falter, Boston has the ambition and assets to pursue Giannis Antetokounmpo, with Brown being the primary trade piece to match the \(\$58.5\) million salary

.Alternative Trade Partners: Other scenarios suggest trading Brown for high-value draft picks or other star assets, such as moving him to the Sacramento Kings, as explored on Yahoo Sports.Value: Despite trade rumors, Brown is considered a prime asset?a "building block-level talent" in his prime?who would net a massive return, as noted by Bleacher Report.

2. Contract Status and Extension EligibilityMassive Salary: Brown is entering the high-paying years of his supermax extension, set to earn over \(\$57\) million in the 2026-27 season.Extension Window: He becomes eligible in late July 2026 to sign another long-term extension with the Celtics.No-Trade Clause: It is important to note that the five-year, \(\$303.7\) million supermax extension he signed in 2023 included a one-year no-trade clause, but that clause expires after one year, making him eligible for trade in the 2026 offseason

Quote
Summary of "AI Thought"The consensus indicates that while the Celtics prefer not to trade Brown and Derrick White, the financial burden of their roster makes them likely to listen to offers. The most likely scenario is that Brown?s name will be involved in blockbuster trade rumors for a higher-tier superstar, but the threshold to actually move him is exceptionally high

I didn't know Brown had a no trade clause until the 2026 summer. That's pretty interesting...

He does not have such a restriction.
