Still don't think this team has the bench to be considered a real threat even if Tatum comes back. Going to waste the open roster spots on Harper and Shugla and those 2 guys will never do anything to win playoff games.

Bench is a real mess right now.

Playoffs are usually a 8-9 man rotation.

How many teams are bringing players better than PP and Vooch off the bench?

Queta starting over Vuc? I understand the concept but I am not sure they do that.

Did I miss something or do we still have Garza?  He will be more in the playoff rotation than Scheierman or Walsh or Hugo.  I am not sure yet who should start/close games, but I do expect to see a lot more of 2-big line ups, meaning Tatum playing as a wing with 2 of Queta, Garza, and Vucevic on the floor.  Need to see some of these combinations actually playing together, new players can look a lot different in your uniform than you think.  I am OK with going with bigger line ups.

Possibilities include Conley, Ball, Cam Thomas?maybe Middleton? This is something to watch out for in the coming days. Who knows what Brad has in mind, maybe sign IT to a 10 day  and see what he has left?

I just think Minott fell out of favor with Mazulla. I don't think there was any conspiracy to make trading him away look better.

Getting under the salary cap was a jigsaw puzzle that Brad Stevens solved.

The first big deadline move was getting a useable Big for Simons in Vucevic while still saving money.

Then away went Boucher, Minott, and Tillman.

We converted Amari Williams 2-way to a normal contract to take up a roster spot.

I think we still need to fill one more spot by league rule. But we should be able to either get a minimum salary somehow or a vet buyout to do so within the next 14 days.

It's a bit of a concern that we lost depth on the bench but these players were not seeing a lot of game time outside of Simons.

Vucevic should take the bulk of Simons minutes and give us badly needed additional rotation minutes at the 5.

Maybe we will see Hugo get an uptick in minutes at wing to fill the void left by Simons departure. We'll just have to see how it shakes out.

I honestly have no clue which direction he would take in building the roster.

- three headed monster of walsh/gonzalez/scheierman
- garza

and who knows, maybe the team adds a buy out veteran as well.

I think we?re re right up there with the top East teams. If ever we come out of the conference then who knows. OKC, San Antonio, and Denver will be quite challenging to beat four times though.
