Not even the best record in the league.  Lakers were 23-3 through 26 games.

Lakers didn't keep that pace up going 39-17 59% the rest of the way. The Celtics went 46-10 82% the rest of the way.

That's where the similarities end. The Celtics went 46-10 82% winning percentage the rest of the season. They lost 2 in a row only 2 times, had winning streaks of 8, 9, 13 and 14 games and were 40-1 at home. Then they went 15-3 in the playoffs for an 83% winning percentage.
