I think we could've called timeout after the fake, inbound ball and just shoot the 3 or lob it in...would've won.

Instead, we get the fake and get packed in the paint and just succumb away. Would've been nice if Horford's shot counted.

Sigh so many what-ifs that could've went our way in this game.

THey would've called an offensive foul on Horford. This was fixed!

This thread should be filed in the “bad coaching” folder.
Quoting Nick from the now locked Ime thread:

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

We got three good looks at the basket at close range. It's not Ime's fault that we missed all of them.

We were generating better looks than we would have from a T/O

Strongly disagree. We were extremely fortunate that Smart sold the fake FT and caught it. Paint was way too jammed up after that, particularly with a 6’4 having the ball. A well-designed timeout play could have yielded the three for a win. Brown was on fire. I do not blame the players, but disagree with Ime’s thought process by not calling the TO. That said, Ime is brilliant and will have us storming back with a big win in game four. Guys have gotta be p---ed by knowing the refs pushed the Bucks over the finish line. They will not allow another quarter like the third in this series is my guess. This is like playing the Lakers in 2008 (a function of Giannis in 2022 being as big as Kobe circa 2008): Refs will give it to our opponent if it’s close, so we need to hammer them all game long.
You're just dead wrong.  3 good shot attempts close to the basket is much better than you get from calling a timeout.  And the 4th attempt was only a fraction of a second late.  As for Brown being on fire, he was only 1 of 5 from 3.

So the 27% shooting from 3 for the game gives you confidence they would have made it if a timeout was called.
