Replace nash with Borrego.  That would be a major upgrade.  Nash may be a good coach over time but he had zero experience.  Was thrown into the fire with Kyrie, KD and Harden.  Three Divas that are coach killers.  He would have been better finding a young team to grown with vs going to the Nets.

I would be flabbergasted if Nash doesn't get fired.  And in my mind, Cryee is more to blame than anyone on that team, including Nash.  Remember when Cryee said they didn't need or have a coach?

I was surprised Nash even wanted to coach considering he moved on from basketball fairly well in retirement.

Well, Kyrie basically ended Brad Stevens as a Coach--cause Stevens was too scared of Kyrie and afraid to lose him, which led to our current team not respecting Brad the Coach anymore.

If we sweep, I suspect that the KD/KI partnership will put pressure on management to find a new coach.  Just my hunch.

If the Celtics sweep, do Durant and Irving still have the power to pressure management? 

A lot of people think Nash was handpicked by Durant/Irving to coach the team.  That lack of offensive structure that becomes Durant/Irving ISO heavy is exactly wanted, as they think they don't even need a head coach and they see themselves as the coaches too (and publicly stated this).

The team catered to them.  They got the coach they wanted.  Kyrie wouldn't get vaccinated to help the team, Durant told Marks to trade Harden for Simmons, etc.

We let you call the shots, we did everything you wanted, yet we finished 7th and got swept (hopefully) in the first round.

If you're ownership/management, how much are you going to listen to those guys now?  What's the worst that happens, Kyrie opts out?  They can spend a lot less money, and have a lot fewer headaches, and get the same (or better) results.  Same thing out in LA with the Lakers, as I doubt LeBron still has the power to call all the shots after losing in the first round then missing the playoffs entirely.

The lakers have basically already limited lebrons power. Yes he got Westbrook but there rumors of other moves at the deadline he wanted they didn’t do. He may also wanted Caruso back. Unclear if vogul was his pick either

lebron clearly wanted Lue to coach after the Walton disaster. Lakers wouldn't give Lue the money or years he deserved as a championship coach so he went to the Clippers where he has shown to be worth every penny given the injury issues they've had and the success they've mustered.
