Celtics give Indiana two second round picks.

Rubio and Thompson clear the cap space to make it possible to sign someone in FA. Perhaps go after Brunson. If that doesn't work we retain Rubio's rights to resign as a pg.

Celtics get a core of 4 guys signed long term in the 25-23 range.

Fun.  I don't see the C's trading 2 current starters.  That's all.

agreed, we're not giving up 2 starters and a prospect for a player that's somewhat overrated here, a PG out for the season and a player that underperformed when here last time all in the hopes of clearing salary for a FA PG in the offseason (which I'm not seeing how that money is freed up with the money we're taking in or who that target would be).  would flush this season with having only Schroder and PP as PGs.
