If I were wyc I'd hire myself as President and Gm to save the Celtics.

If I'm Wyc, I'm telling Brad to trade My "win now" players in Schroeder and Horford, and invest towards next season. Could those players, plus some young player(s) and picks get the team Ben Simmons, in a 3 team trade? We're stuck with the head coach, so let him learn his lessons this season.

What do you do? What do you expect to be done?

-changes in the front office?
- changes to coaching staff?
- retool or rebuild mandate?

changes in the front office - did that, less than a year ago.
changes to coaching staff - did that too, less than a year ago.
retool or rebuild mandate - seems like they chose retool, bringing in Richardson, Horford and Schröder.

So, all that’s left is rebuild? Or they could not be reactionary and keep moving forward with the decisions they made less than a year ago and re-evaluate after there’s a full season of results? Maybe that’s something a successful businessman would do?

If I’m Wyc, it’s time to stop thinking as a fan and start thinking as a business person. Winning championships are for the fans. I’m sure the Celtics (as an organization) has loftier goals than bringing home a banner.

This. There’s definitely a strong incentive for ownership to see us somehow pair Tatum and Beal together:

1. Increases the odds of our superstar not leaving after this contract

2. Recall Tatum and Beal are the best players to come out of St. Louis since Jo Jo White, so a pairing would probably make the Celtics the number one team in the St. Louis market, which is probably the most or second most lucrative domestic market without an NBA team at this time.

Same. Force Brad back to being HC with Ime as Assistant HC. Sit down with all the players as a team, and tell them Brad and Ime are the boss of them and if any of them do not listen to them, they’ll be traded to some not so pleasant place in the western conference ASAP. Then privately chat with the team players to reassure them of how appreciated they are.

Acquiring Beal will entice Tatum to remain a Boston Celtic. Or he is heading to the Lakers after his current contract runs out. The Lakers have been his dream team since childhood, he loves Kobe, he has a tattoo of him on his calf.  With how the last few years have gone in Boston? Yeah... he'll be a Laker unless we give him a buddy to play with.

Okay sorry to do this to y'all but

You guys heard of this guy called Paul Pierce right?

From Inglewood, Cali? Dreamed of being a Laker?

I dunno.

Just asking if you've heard of his career.

As a Boston Celtic.

Just wondering.

(Stop. With. The. Assumptions.)

Honestly, this post is going to sound dire. Because our current situation is.

Brad Stevens was an effective coach. Really did well in front of media. cs and Os probably one of the best in the league. His ATO play calling is second to none. Personally, he was never the coach of superstars IMO. He was too much of a Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.whillow.

So we put him in position to manage player personnel? The guy making trades? Can you imagine him in a negotiation?

And he was anointed too early by Celtics ownership as some kind of untouchable whiz kid. How many times have we heard Wyc use the statement, “If we fired Brad he’d be the first hired”. Honestly good riddance.

We need Wyc to recognize he needs to hire a personnel manager and a coach who are disciplinarians. That can tell Wyc where to go.

This team lacks hoodspa because ownership and management lack hoodspa.

I’m so incredibly fed up. Hit the reset button!!
