Any chance this becomes the lineup/depth now that we’ve secured Smart and Timelord for the long-haul (am quite intrigued by Timelord/Horford switching 4/5 on the defensive end depending on opposing matchups, with Brown/Tatum starting in their natural positions):
Schröder/Smart/Pritchard/Edwards
Brown/Richardson/Dunn
Tatum/Nesmith
Horford/Parker/Williams
Timelord/Kanter/Fernando
Odd man out: Langford for a 2nd round pick because clearly we can’t get anything for Edwards or Fernando right now, and one of the three has got to go (we do not like cap hits). If we’re not championship contenders at the deadline and/or Dunn is worthless, we may be able to move Dunn for a heavily protected second round pick (or Dunn + a 2nd swap) and drop below the luxury line.
Next year, we opt out of Horford’s final year and obviously re-sign him to one final cap-friendly contract to round out his stellar career off the bench. We’d essentially have these guys on the books, so getting depth at the 4 (e.g., re-signing Parker and/or GWill) would be key:
Pritchard/Madar
Smart/Richardson/Begarin
Brown/Nesmith
Tatum
Timelord/Horford
