The executive branch, which includes the CDC, requires all employees and contractors to get vaccinated, with only religious or medical exemptions allowed, and there is a process that does not in any way guarantee an exemption will be granted.
If it's mandatory for one person, then it should be mandatory for all save exemptions of the above natures and natural immunity. One would think Congress would want to set the example. One of the things that irks me is that their allegedly not mandatory about the big pharma companies that make them or so I heard.
I thought the vaccines were the way out and getting a high number of people vaccinated was the only way to stop the virus. At present, certain bodies and organizations seem exempt. Why? People who work in small companies less than 100 people don't have to get it. Immigrants don't have to get it. Does that make any sense to anyone? I get the legal arguments but this is either the way out or it is not folks. Something does not add up to me, either you go all in or you don't. What we have now is a half measure.....
I was at a party this week, everyone was double vaccinated, and one of them had Covid. All the double vaccinated people got it but those with natural immunity plus vaccine did not. We were really close at table playing a game, for 5 hours. It's been nine days and I have a few more until I am in the clear. But what the heck? No one appears to have a serious case that got it. But isn't that generally true of people who get Covid in general almost 80% of cases were mild without the vaccine. It does seem to help with death rates but is this vaccine or better knowledge of treatments? I wish we had some hard data of this stuff but reliable data is hard to find.
I know some health care professionals being laid off because they won't the shot. This to me makes little sense as well. These people are the individuals who got us this far in terms of care.
Listen to your doctor and make whatever, choice is best for you and your family.
We all know people who have died too young and you just can never tell.
