Interesting exercise...no trade we just add one or the other

Celtics plus Davis

or

Celtics plus Dame

I say it's title town with Davis

I say it might be title town with Dame too, but not the lineup match that Davis is.

And yes, Davis misses a lot of games.

I'd rather have AD. He is the better individual player & the player more capable of creating mismatches for other top teams in the postseason.

How many contenders have two way athletic bigs like AD who can pass, shoot and dribble? With his quickness and athleticism above the rim on lobs?

That guy is a nightmare to matchup against.

I generally agree, but he's always injured.  I mean always injured, especially later in the season.

Even though I’d much rather have Dame, LAL hangs up immediately.

Yeah the bench can tell you a lot of matchup problems with him.

if Lillard wants out, Portland ain't getting all they want for him.

If its up to Dame would he rather pay with Lebron or With Jaylen and Tatum.

Smart/TT/Romeo/GWill/a bunch of picks and swaps.
If Dame is on the market, it is going to take a much better offer than that.

not if he forces his way out.

Forces his way to Boston to play with Tatum and Beal!

Beal signed? WoW…Brad is wheeling and dealing.

If I'm LA I do this in a heartbeat. I don't think there's a significant gap between Lillard and Davis, and Lillard is an ironman. Try and cash in to win over the next two years while LeBron is still contracted.

If I'm Portland I demand Talen Horton-Tucker
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

O% this happens while Anthony Davis is a clutch client.

IMO Lakers considerably overpaid in the Davis trade, and that's their current predicament.

Clutch being AD's agent guaranteed that he wasn't going anywhere other then the Lakers, so who were they bidding against? If they had only offered up Brandon Ingram & their own future picks (not including 2019) why would New Orleans say no? It's either that or AD eventually walks for nothing.

LeBron's control of the Jeanie Buss & his selfish win now agenda, gave David Griffin leverage to fleece the Lakers. A starting core of James, Davis, Ball, Hart, Kuzma & picking someone like De'Andre Hunter or Darius Garland would have had the Lakers contend for years to come.
