  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Kemba is better than Conley, but Utah is playing way too well right now to rock the boat. Both teams are better off keeping who they have.

I'm sure the top priority of Utah is to jeopardise their chemistry and elite play by making a risky trade with no real benefit
LOL your witty retort made me smile as I caught up with the threads today

And we all know Kemba is going nowhere
These Kemba trade ideas are as ridiculous as the previous TimeLord trade ideas

Why would Utah ruin a good thing

good question.

At the moment they wouldn't, that's for sure.  But it's a long season and things can change dramatically...A year ago pre-injury Kemba was an all-star and Conley seemed out of the game...possibly forever in any meaningful way....glad he made a great comeback, but the idea is not as absurd as some are saying...  Unless the OP meant he thought Utah would do it today...that would be absurd to think...

Yes it is.

In many situations basketball is far more about fit than talent. Conley has been one of the most underrated point guards in the game for quite some time. He also is one of the better defensive point guards in the league. His style of two way play fits much better next to Mitchell and in Utah’s line up. The Jazz would lose so much of they had Kemba their instead.

Pass.  Very pass.

I like Conley, but he's 33 years old and could drop off a cliff any time.  And he's played 60+ games only twice in the past 6 years.  And he's making $30M a year.

I don't like that formula. I'd rather take a gamble on Kemba's knee to be honest.

I'd do it in a heartbeat for the C's. If you ask me, it's the Jazz that would be ''better off keeping who they have''.

Another similar idea would be Kemba for Lowry straight up. Again, I don't see why the Raps would pull the trigger.

The Raptors are a mysterious 6-1 with Lowry out, but doubt they would want a pairing of Kemba and FVV
