Happy to see again Big Sully. Always loved the player and his grit. Was sad for him with his weight and work ethic problems... But men he is such in a good shape, I even wouldn't have recognize him. He may desserve another chance in the league.

If in a trade for PF we have to give Theis or TT, what about giving a chance for he 3rd string Center. He is the opposite of a cancer to the team, so even if it dosn't work no prob.

I mean give roster spot to Crowder, Green or even Rondo would have been a big upgrade when you compare them to Grant, Ojeleye or Teague.

I'd love a Sully comeback. He was one of my favourite players, even though he never became what he could have. Was still a 12/8/2 guy though, and was always fun.

We could really use his ability to pass in the high post tbh - if he's fit I'd definitely take a look at him.

He could maybe even play the 4th position, being an alternative to Grant, putting a more sized, rebound and off IQ option at PF for min. We lack depth but off talent can also come from a G/PG.
So we could still put the TPE for an outside player  (still don't believe the "Pritchard  as our  6th offensive men" from the bench). Guys like Fournier, Graham (...) or even Lowrie could be easily attainable than the populars Barnes, Collins or Gordon trades. If we want a miracle trade we could still wit for Beal.

I was really high on Sully when we drafted him.  I figured he’d be Carlos Boozer 2.0.

When he was here, he had his moments, but ultimately I remember his time here for two reasons: abusing his girlfriend, and eating his way out of the league.

Sully turns 29 March 4th.  I thought he was a lot older then that.  He may be able to help a team for 10-15 minutes a game.  The hard part is when you are out of the league, get a rep like he did with his work ethic and weight it's hard to make it back.  Always liked Sully and had high hopes for him.

My thoughts exactly, lost all respect for him when I heard about the abuse case.

Avoid.

Wow I don't remember that.  IF so then it's another reason why he's not in the NBA.  terrible.

If we don't remember it is maybe because the plaint was dismissed 7 and half years ago.

Not fair to remain a case cleaned by justice. Kobe and other sportivs faced other level of pursuit. He seems to be an happy men and dad now. In the team he was a good teammate and motivated guy on the floor. When he speaks about Celtics organisation he always shows a lot of respect and for the fans real attachment. For me he is a guy I would still see more interest than an Ojeleye a the 4 or Tacko at the 5 if he has still his game. With 27 points and 13 reboubds in China he showed he still has his mind on the game.

I believe the charges were ultimately dismissed against Ray Rice, as well.  It doesn’t mean that he’s somebody I would like to introduce to my sister, or play for my team.

Jared Sullivan had some skill back in the day.  Not sure the relevance of his past issues in terms how a team would evaluate him.  In general, sports will forgive that sort of thing.  Not passing judgement on that, just suggesting that if he is not in the NBA, it is more about what teams think he can do on the court, not what they think about his past issues.

His stats show he played in China in 2017-18 and 2018-19 but nothing for 2019-20.  Did he really not play for whole year?  Really now almost 2 seasons off?  Got to think there just is not much there or someone would have had him in their camp or on a 2-way.

Yeah his rookie year he was one of my favorite players.  Thought he could be really solid.  But the reason he fell to us in the draft was because of his back issues, so to some extent you can't complain that he ended up not lasting past his rookie deal.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Sullinger remains a bit of a mystery to me. In his 2nd season, at age 21, he averaged 13-8 in 27 mpg and showed signs of being a shooter. He only made 27% of his threes but had nice form and was a 78% FT shooter. The team was awful but he really seemed like he had potential to become a valuable modern 4/5.

And then he never got better at everything and never took his condition seriously.

I guess some guys are content with getting some money and getting out.
