The coaching staff makes closing out and guarding the 3-pt line a priority, and Boston has consistently been one of the league leaders in Opponent 3-pt% in the Brad Stevens era. They’re good this year - currently 6th - though they’ve been better in the past, and despite the heavy reliance this season on team speed.

You’d think we were bottom 6 in the league if you read some of the game threads.

Now that the season is 1/3 completed, we are projecting at our current pace to win 61/62 games.

What is your prediction of our regular season win total? I think I said 51 at the pre-season, changed it to about 56 20 games in.

Now I believe we can win 60 plus games. Unlike last season, I don't think this team takes off any nights. It knows it has to work hard on D no matter the opponent. Last season we had this sense of entitlement, and it really hurt us, particularly against the weak teams.

Okay, here is my current prediction:

60 wins
NBA Finals.  Will go 7 games.  What the heck, We win it all in 7 games.

agree except for the final sentence. the celtics win the finals in 3 games. after beating the snot of the other team for 3 games, they simply forfeit the final game to prevent further humiliation.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

That it's sad that people on this site are still downplaying this team.

True.

After 20 games or so, hard to believe that there are some Celtic fans who do not believe the Celts can be in the Finals this season.

Nope.

Series won’t last more than two games.

Tho, seriously, the team has been a pleasant surprise. Better than I thought they would be. Looking at the next 7 games, I’m seeing 28-7, maybe 27-8 if they lose focus. They should beat all those teams.

I think this is a 2-3 place team in the East with an outside chance is making the finals.
