According to IT it was the "B" word that crossed the line.

Quote
“You know how Philly fans are. Like that doesn’t bother me,” Thomas said. “When you say the ‘B’ word, that’s not okay. Because if I’m on the street, you won’t ever say that if I’m right next to you, so that’s not okay on any level and I will not be disrespected like that. Fans can say whatever they want. Don’t talk about my family and don’t say that word.”

Remarkably thin skin for a guy who is generally so physically and mentally tough.
Wow, he might have opened up a can of worms. Not to the point when Pedro called the Yankees his daddy but you can possibly start to hear some fans chanting the "B" word at IT.

Then those fans should be suspended as well.

Nothing changes from my original post on page 1.

These players are human beings and NO amount of money they make should excuse fan's drunken behavior.

Suspend them / warn them and protect the players AND the kids attending the games.

The mics under the baskets pick up worse stuff than this every game. Like literally that's not an exaggeration. Remember the stuff KG would scream at people on the court. Love IT but the little guy's gotta toughen up. When I first heard this I thought the worst like the dude mentioned his sister or something but the B word really? Is this middle school.
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

The thing is, all the players do a lot ignoring all the time.  There's a minority of fans at every single game in the NBA who go and drink a lot and yell crap like this and much worse.   And the players ignore it.  So, if once in a while a player sort of snaps and has a reaction, I don't see it as a single case of hearing some and being over sensitive or something.  More like once in a while a player is like whoa...enough is enough...

OK, I feel stupid.  what's the "B" word?  I read the article and it didn't say what it was.   Can someone enlighten me and tell me what it rhymes with (so it doesn't get blocked by the language filter here)?

Times are a-changin'.......and they SHOULD.

At my last command before I retired from the Navy my old crusty Chief - as salty as he was - had a CUSS JAR.

You uttered a bad word and you donated a quarter. Even HE paid up when he slipped up which wasn't often at all.

That was over 10 years ago.

There are OTHER ways to tease / distract / harass players - and perhaps the offending PHI fan should take notes:

Philadelphia Freedom.

BTW - Love ya, KG.

TP for the info.  I was expecting something worse.  I would think they hear worse on a nightly basis
