A reasonable case could be made for all 5, especially if Hayward had not been out for a month.

That is why I refuse to cast my vote.

Jaylen is my vote, but its close.

Kemba just doesn't do enough on defense (he's doing well for his capability but he's still a limited defender) and his offense has been somewhat up and down.

Hayward was right there before he was injured.

Tatum is right there if he's fully out of the awful shooting slump at the basket.

Kemba Walker

Watch him play at both ends
Look at him lying on the deck after crashing a layup
See him grin ear to ear on the bench when his mates make a play

Get ready for him to hit the shot right before the clock reads 00:00 in the biggest game.

All are very close.

I’d go hayward but he missed all that time. Tatums been too inefficient , kemba doesn’t defend well enough and Marcus isn’t good enough on offense.

So I’m going Jaylen.

There's an argument for Brown but I think Kemba has been the on floor leader much of the time and has made a ton of "settle down guys I got this" kind of shots.

Kemba is just so steady and reliable.

Brown has had a really great first quarter of the season, though, and at his best he's been better than anybody else the Celts have put on the floor.

I know Tatum's +/- has been wildly good this year, but I didn't think it was this good.

Also Will Barton  :o?

Just keep in mind 20ish games worth of +/- is as reliable as Kyrie, even if you massage it like RPM purports too.

I love seeing the love for Brown he's been awesome.

I went Kemba. He's been clutch. Scored a lot of points, been a solid leader, and his defense has been pretty good.

That +/- for Tatum, though... Whew. He's the guy other team's fear the most. Miami was living in absolute terror of him every possession. It's amazing how much attention he gets from opposing defenses and how much that opens things up for everyone else.

Tatum's impact metrics have been good since his rookie season, but him keeping up these crazy +/- stats so far is really encouraging due to his increased role this year. And Will Barton has been excellent for the Nuggets, he's not a megastar, but his two way game has been really additive for the Nuggets in that wing role.

These adjusted plus minus metrics are usually pretty good as long as you have a decent sample size (multiple seasons) and what to make of the numbers (Barton's insane +/- does not mean that he's better than say Bradley Beal due to the fact that he's a role player, it just means that he's really good at his role).
Jaylen Brown for All-NBA

I vote for Jaylen Brown.

His improvement has been eye-catching.

He also plays within himself, meaning he doesn't try to do to much nor does he hesitate or seem indecisive.

He knows his strengths, he knows how to help the team win the best way he can and he does it.

Brown but that last game gave me some doubts. I hope it was just an off game but he sure struggled with length.
