If you subtract trade proposal from NBA fandom what exactly is left?
There are between 10 to 15 unwritten tenets / postulates that are agreed on by the majority on this blog to the full extend of something can be agreed on. Some of Those can change from year to year but you have to be smart and adaptive enough to recognize them early in the season or you will get hell from that very vocal majority- think 55-60 %.
Let me state some of those postulates that you can disagree on then at your own risk:
-Ainge is the greatest manager of all time. Don’t even try to question that statement or else you risk being called lame , dumb etc.
-every player that Ainge drafts and is taller than 6’9” is a future defensive player of the year ... that will be very obvious when such player sets foot at the court during summer league and manages to grab a rebound within 20 mins of play.
-referees are there to just get back at the Celtics players... half of the losses in the L Column are due to inadequate or biased referring another quarter is because LeBron is on steroids and very very very bad luck in 35 of the 38 possessions that resulted in bad outcome for the Celtics during those games.
Every draftee that shot 30% from 3 in college will start hitting 40%+ in the nba by the middle of his second season because you know it’s only natural that all Celtics players improve their shooting once they put on green. Don’t try to question said players shooting inefficiencies because you haven’t seen anything and you don’t know anything.
-if you question the nba legitimacy of a Celtic player that is under 25 years old and has less than 2000 mins of playing time in the nba be prepared to be called out for overreacting and for being dumb of course.
-For the love of god don’t try to propose trading Gordon Hayward. (I admit I have gone back and forth whether to trade him or not so I’m not innocent) but yea don’t try to trade Hayward ... you can trade pierce, rondo and garnet but not Hayward!
