Peak Dwight left LA
Durant wouldn't even give them a meeting
Kawhi is rumored to be more interested in the Clippers
Paul George chose OKD without entertaining the Lakers much, despite the speculation.

In the age of social media, Hollywood does not have the advantage it once had.

I think it’s less about “Lakers or bust” and more about Davis preferring to get this over with now as opposed to later.  If you’re him would you rather play out this season on a mediocre lotto team ... or go to the lakers right now and try to make a run with LeBron?

Boston isn’t in the equation right now.  If they had the ability to trade for him it might be a different story but right now they are a non factor ... so might as well try to make it seem like it’s lakers or bust in some ill-conceived attempt to get the pelicans to send him to the lakers before the trade deadline.

Come Summer it will be different.  At that point Boston will be in the mix.

Can I ask a dumb q, has Rich Paul publicly stated that Davis wants to go the Lakers?  So many threads, and maybe one of you guys will instantly know.

TP. This is something that isn’t being discussed enough. He’s in his prime, so half a season is very valuable.

As I said on the first page of the thread, I think AD would be fine with Boston or LA, albeit for differing reasons. But the LA pursuit provides more instant gratification, and I’m sure he’s also feeling tremendous pressure from Paul and others to go there right now, too.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

I mean just from a real life perspective, is it really fun to stay in your job after you tell your company that you won't be around much longer?  Is it fun playing home games for fans who are incredibly disappointed that you are taking off?

Great weather, beautiful people, celebs, attention. Other than that I can think of nothing.

Add to that more endorsement opportunities which he's been complaining about for a while.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D
