Very very very bad timing for this trade request.
To me, it all but shows AD wants to go to LA... Knowing the Celtics most likely get him this offseason, the only reason to make such a request public right now is to get LA the advantage... Sad but that is the reality.
Silver-lining from this terrible news for us is : MIROTIC will be available!
We might be able to pick up MIROTIC from NO who should be tanking for the rest of the year.
Deadly 3pt shooter with Excellent post up game against smaller opponents.
The one thing this roster is missing, even if everyone is back to their expected levels, is a deadly 3pt specialist!!
With Mirotic, we get that PLUS a bonus for him being at big position where slower center/PF will get grilled in our Kyrie-Mirotic pick and roll.
Also Mirotic is an excellent post up player if the guard switches to him.
We might be slower defensively but I will add just a talent on our bench instead of wasting it to Bird or even Yabu (sorry Yabu!! :-/ )
