Woj reports the deal is going through.
Ainge trades an injured PG who were weren't going to resign anyway and Crowder and a pick into Kyrie Irving.
Nice.

Assuming this is true, I'm relieved that it's done. Great deal for the Cavs - by far the best they could've gotten, and a good deal for us as well.

Wouldn't be surprised if Cleveland's GM burned a lot of bridges in NBA front office circles with how he handled this deal with the Celtics. I get that his job is to get the best deal possible for his team, but it's a close-knit industry and these executives need to work together on a regular basis. I could see Boston - or any other team that feels this was a bush-league delay by the Cavs - being hesitant to work with the Cavs on any future deals.

Here's to the Nets making the playoffs.

Woj didn't actually tweet it. He said it on ESPN/Sportscenter apparently. It was Adam Kaufman's tweet that reported it, along with Clevis Murray.

Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

All he said was they're no longer asking for more compensation, not that the deal is finally going through. They still seem to be considering whether to complete the trade. That could just mean they've given up on the C's deal and are looking in another direction. Who knows..
