Loving the play so far from this team. I know it's still early in the season , no need to celebrate and drop the Confetti as if we're going to win a title but thus far I am even more encouraged that we're right there as TRUE championship contenders. Imagine Hayward didn't get hurt. Who else feels we'd be undefeated right now?

Very well could be undefeated right now.

The GH injury was shocking to the team but they battled back and almost pulled it off in CLE.

Still reeling, we turn around and lose to MIL on a back-back.

We've since righted the ship, though, and Brad Stevens and the TEAM deserves much credit.

No way to know.

We do know that this group is 8-2. Thats all that matters. Are we a better team with Gordon Hayward? absolutely. Would we have won the last 8 games with him? Ive got no idea.

I just know it makes Hayward's injury all the more painful.
What might have been this season.

Possibly. The injury hurt the team that night through the initial shock. While they came back well it takes time to fully recover your composure. It can't have helped hearing your season is over just as it began. The belief this team has in itself is still growing.

While Hayward will definitely add to this team Stevens has covered for his absence with terrific efficiency. It was the shock of the injury and the time needed to compose and adjust as much as Hayward's actual absence that cost the team in the first two games.
