For starters, If Lopez goes down, their done lol. Whether Ball is good or not, him Lopez and Ingram doesn't get you farther then the Magic with Vucevic. KCP was pretty good for the Pistons. Van Gundy once called him a priority signing. He is a game impacting 3&D Shooting guard to have as a 4th player but I don't see him someone you sorta giving the keys to over see these young guys in tough moments. Not really sold on Ingram making a huge leap this year either. IF they still have Clarkson, that's cool to lol. 5-7 is  realistic to me. But I only see about 4-5 teams worse and I am expecting two of them to make leaps this season. This can get good

I'm hoping they lose almost all of their games against the west and all eastern playoff teams. So, even this cheesy assessment puts them bottom 7. Their pick is easily top 10, probably top 7, of which it's ours in 4 of those positions. So I like our chances, especially since we have two shots in the 2018 draft, plus our own.

Danny sure finds weird ways to just gamble, like finding weird ways to gamble. How do you figure the odds of us getting a top 5 pick next year?  It's nuts.

Really, though, are we getting 3 more rookies next season?  Brad's gonna quit.

They've undoubtedly improved this offseason, but they're still far from good, and relative to the rest of the West, they might not have improved at all. I still expect them to be a bottom-5 team, which would give us roughly a 50% chance of the pick conveying (if they are fifth-worst).
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

It's a little out of control.  Even if the Lakers pick carries over to the following year, that could mean we have four 1st round picks in 2019.  We're going to have 5 rookies on the roster this year, plus the two-way contract guys.

The Celtics have as advanced an analytics team as anyone in the league. Danny wouldnt have made the trade if he thought the Lakers were going to be outside the top 5. It's not a gamble, they are calculating the Lakers to be bottom 5 bad.

And I believe the Lakers pick will be traded..

If they finish at the bottom of the league we have a good chance
1. 75%
2. 80%
3. 70%
