I think I like Marcus Morris more than most (I even like him a bit more overall than Markieff). But I absolutely love his contract!!

Will always miss Bradley, though.

Those who know Morris' game better than me -  what about a comparison to a "rich man's" Brandon Bass?  High energy, a little taller, has 3-point range (unlike BB), more an offensive than defensive weapon, not great on the boards.   Morris seems like he'll be a viable offensive option amongst a team that suddenly looks strong offensively.   Maybe Morris will attack the glass a little more here than in Detroit.

supposedly he can create shots and is good in iso. so we went from having ONE guy who can create his own shot to now having FOUR GUYS who can do this.

Ridiculous notion

When people are free to do as they please, they usually imitate each other.

And its not because I don't like Bradley.

He needed to make this move with Bradley likely command 25 mil a year.

-He now has a starting PF with Marcus Morris locked up until 2019.
- still have Jae locked up for 3 more years
- send Bradley instead of Smart, because Smart is still a restricted free agent, meaning we have more control of his situation.

If we can re-sign smart(if he plays up to it) at around 12 mil a year, we will have all 3 of Smart, Morris and Jae locked up for the around same price it would have taken just to re-sign Bradley.

Also allows us to bring over Yabu

Jae,Smart,Morris,Yabu> AB

Love it
I am eja117 and I approve this message. Except the "ever" part

Yeah, the offense is shaping up to be very exciting
Can't wait!   I am looking forward to seeing how IT plays when there are many other weapons on the court.  I would love to see him at 20 points and 8 assists next year - driving all night when defenses allow; making smart passes to open shooters.   Should be an incredibly fun team to watch.

CBS must be chomping at the bit.

I'm not knocking the move, because I think it was necessary and may prove to be a good deal for us. But in the context of Ainge's entire career as GM of the C's, I don't think this is in the running for one of his best moves. Maybe Morris comes to Boston and takes his career to another level and proves me wrong, but Ainge has made some unbelievable moves in the past that have set the bar very high.

Definitely not his "best ever," but circumstances considered, he did well.
