i kinda liked kelly, i know he was a bad defender and all, but, he was a good kid, tried as hard as he could, and i actually hate to see him leave, just because of a gut feeling that he might explode Jeremain O'Neil style with another team.
He does have that potential but hey, i wish him all the best

He doesn't have that type of talent to explode like an O'Neil. O'Neil was a tremendous talent who couldn't get any minutes in Portland and didn't get a chance until he was traded at 21. Kelly was an advanced college player who regressed this year. He pretty much is what he is at this point given the type of poor athlete he is.

The thing that always killed Kelly is that he only has a 6'10" wing span at 7'0". Jayson Tatum at 6'8" has a 7'0" wingspan. Kelly is one of the few NBA players that is taller than his wingspan and this has always limited him to what he can do on the court.

I've always said if "Jelly" Olynyk would work on his body and persona(grow a pair, get a mean streak) as if his job depended on it , he could be really good BUT he won't and in my opinion it is what makes him too soft for the NBA, he will end up 10 yrs from now a woulda, shoulda, coulda conversation, too bad. Good Luck Kelly.

Question: if we trade Crowder without taking salary back don't we have cap room past GH's max slot, and can that be used to resign KO? Do we have his bird rights?
I don't think so, but the experts should confirm.  He is now a UFA.
If I understand everything correctly?  The C's rescinded K.O.'s qualifying offer but did not renounce his rights.  He is an UFA but the C's still retain his Bird rights and potentially could offer him a contract of any amount and could still exceed the cap to retain him.  Until K.O. signs an offer sheet with another team he can still potentially end up a Celtic.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Ive said for 2 years that he will be a Brooklyn Net.
Haven't changed my mind.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Why do so many men on here care so much about what another man looks like?  I personally could care less about his or anyone else's hair on the team as long as it doesn't affect their play.

I'm not sure about this, but my understanding was that they rescinded the QO, but have not yet renounced him, so they could still do a sign and trade if they wanted. It may not matter, they likely will need to renounce him soon anyways.

I was the thinking the same thing. Just low hanging fruit for some posters to demean a player I suppose. Critiques of his game would be far more welcome.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Outstanding stuff, Oracle. Hope you're right about KO. Maybe that's the last little multi-dimensional chess move Danny is playing right under everybody's noses.

I'm an unabashed KO fan. It would be painful to lose him. I believe his best ball is in front of him.

I also believe Brad only started to manage him effectively, with the proper doses of encouragement as represented by playing time at crucial moments, near the end of the season.
