-39 total players drafted
-22 no longer in the NBA
-Not one has made an all star team

Keep trying Danny! Hoard those assets.. Even a blind squirrel gets a nut sometimes.

I'm all for certain Ainge criticisms that I feel are valid, but there's this thing called "context" that you're missing here.

The context is simple to me, 57% of the players are no longer in the league, majority of the list have been duds. I'd take a one year rental of George in hopes he loves Boston then have more stiffs added to that list.
Who knows what he's offered or if he's offered anything at all. Funny thing is it always seems like that after some big name gets traded elsewhere Ainge comes out and basically says the media made all the Celtics interest up and that there were no discussions for whomever.
Just look at what OKC gave up, really leads me to believe Ainge lowballed yet again, or didn't even make an offer to begin with.
I think you just dont understand how the draft works. All in all, the best players tend to go first, and more average players tend to get drafted after the good players. For the most part, Danny has only drafted in the mid to late first round, meaning that Danny only had a chance draft average players. Now that we established that DA was drafting average players at best, the average NBA career lasts for about 5 years. Danny Ainge has been our GM since 2003, thereby serving as our GM for 14 years. As stated previously, the average NBA career is 5 years, it is only logical to conclude that Danny should have outlasted most of his draft picks by now.
